Freyja Wild

A graduate of The Flying Fruit Fly Circus in 2007, Freyja has spent the majority of her adult life as a full-time ensemble acrobat, specialising in hula-hoops, group acrobatics and subtly subverting classic gender representation onstage.

Freyja has performed in over 35 countries, with C!RCA, Circus Oz, Les 7 Doigts de la Main and independently.

Freyja is also a qualified Health and Nutrition Coach, specialising in distance support and guidance for circus artists in training or touring professionals.

With a deep love for far more things than a normal life can contain, Freyja finds joy in fermentation, the smell of fresh sweat mixed with resin, sunshine on black clothes through a window in Winter, uninterrupted time in an empty studio with the right playlist, discovering hacks in excel and gifting homemade sourdough.

Freyja now lives in Launceston, Tasmania with her husband Conor and young son Otis and does the bulk of administrative and production work behind the scenes of this new outfit, ROOKE.
